- Abstract
The consumption of diesel fuel is increasing every year. As an alternative fuel, CNG has been used in engines. The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of compression ratio improvement on a dual fuel engine. The method in this investigation is based on experiments to develop a new piston. The best results occur at CR 1:16 compared with original CR 1:18. The result shown that the CR improvement has been decreased of the SFOC and increased of the torque and power of dual fuel engine.
