- Abstract
The article examines how the Basilians in Canada succeeded as a congregation by transforming themselves from a loose organization with weak leadership and narrow interests to a dynamic, well-educated group. It discusses how it not only served in parishes, but also, founded schools and colleges and engaged in social initiatives. It also discusses the role of the Basilians in the success of St. Michael's college in Toronto, Canada.
