Abstract
The article reports on the allocation of public funds for the training of dogs used by the Great Britain Fire and Rescue Service to sniff out people trapped in disaster situations. The government has decided to invest 430,000 British pounds in the training of a dog squad. The specialist training develops the dogs' acute sense of smell and can take from 18 months to two years.
