Title
Vaccination against pasteurella in New Zealand lambs.
Abstract
The article discusses a research which examines the vaccination against pneumonic pasteurellosis in New Zealand lambs. Seven commercial flocks with a history of chronic non-progressive pneumonia were used. In the first week of vaccination, the vaccinated lambs had a significantly lower average daily (AVD) gain as compared to the placebo-treated lambs. However, vaccination had no effect on the overall ADG from first vaccination to slaughter.
