Increase in charges for CITES permits.
- Abstract
The article reports on the increase in the charges for licenses to trade in certain endangered species in Great Britain. According to the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, the charge for all import permits, export permits and sales certificates will increase to 20 pounds in 2006. According to biodiversity minister Jim Knight, the increased charges will be reinvested in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species licenses and enforcement systems.
