- Abstract
In theory, a mass difference of 25.98 Da should exist between the I x i and I y i ions, as well as between the I a i and I b i ions; whereas a mass difference of 18.01 Da should exist when comparing I y i with I z i ions, or comparing I b i ions with I c i ions. Full collision energy ramp-MS2 spectral features of natural esters: Salvianolic acid A as a case Because of the important role of the ester functional group in the entire MS/MS patterns, the bond dissociations around this moiety are studied by comparing with the amide bond-related MS/MS behaviors of peptides.
