- Abstract
The article focuses on a study in which an external nasal dilator strip was used to investigate the effect of nasal valve changes on nasalance of the voice. It compares the data obtained from volunteer subjects, with and without wearing nasal dilator strip, who underwent acoustic rhinometry and nasometry. It concludes that there is no relationship between nasal valve and nasalance of the voice as no significant change was found in nasalance scores on increasing the nasal valve area.
