CALLING THEIR SHOTS: MIFFED MINOR LEAGUERS, THE STEROID SCANDAL, AND EXAMINING THE USE OF SECTION 1 OF THE SHERMAN ACT TO HOLD MLB ACCOUNTABLE.
- Authors
Gillerman, Jonathan D.
- Abstract
The article focuses on issues of performance enhancing drug use in Major League Baseball (MLB) and the discrimination that Minor League players experienced from the MLB. The MLB seasons after the 1994-1995 protest by the MLB Players Association, has been consisting of several homeruns made, which led to a suspicion that steroid usage has increased due to MLB tolerance. The Minor League players filed an antitrust restraint against MLB due to the discrimination they experience due to the tolerance of drug use.
