- Abstract
The article focuses on the results from the CATCH-ON Study in the United States. CATCH-ON Study is a research on the institutionalization of the Child and Adolescent Trial for Cardiovascular Health (CATCH), a health promotion program that include the Eat Smart Program. The food service program in 56 elementary schools were to effect total saturated and fat contents of school lunch. Data from 5-year program were gathered and analyzed. It is revealed that after intervention, CATCH schools maintained prior levels and further decreased calories from total and saturated fat. Sodium levels rose did not differ at follow-up.
