- Abstract
The article presents a study on the investigation of condom use and infrequently communicating with sex partners about STD and pregnancy prevention on African American female adolescents in Birmingham, Alabama. It explores the 522 African American female adolescents from ages 14 to 18 on the correlation of infrequent communication of sexually active adolescents, which was recruited from schools and medicine clinics in low-income neighborhood. It mentioned the completed self-administered survey and interview, which the communication frequency was assessed using a five-item scale. It highlights the results that infrequent communication was significant associated with lower odds of condom use.
