- Title
Organic materials: Graphene gets molecules into order.
- Authors
Reinert, Friedrich
- Abstract
The article discusses concept of ferromagnetism which explains the quantum mechanical interactions between the atoms with magnetic moments to form stable configurations with magnetic properties. It focuses on the effect of graphene on ferromagnetism of tetracyano-p- quinodimethane (TCNQ) molecules increasing its magnetic moment and leading to intra molecular hybridization. It mentions factors including local electronic interactions, and temperature to play a crucial role in such processes.
