- Title
Increased levels of prolactin receptor expression correlate with the early onset of lupus symptoms and increased numbers of transitional-1 Β cell after prolactin treatment.
- Abstract
The article offers information on a study conducted on determining whether different splenic B cell subsets express prolactin receptor, and whether the presence of prolactin influences B cell subsets. It states that real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and flow cytometry revealed that different subsets of immature and mature B cells express different levels of the prolactin receptor, and are affected by hyperprolactinaemia.
