The article focuses on a research on the impact of chromosome confirmation on de novo genome assemblies. Topics include the use of Hi-C, a method to probe all genome-wide interactions in three dimensions (3D), for genome assemblies, sequencing of Human Genome Project and use of a probabilistic model to predict the genomic locus along the chromosome which is based on interaction frequency and genomic distance.
