Abstract
The article discusses the process of making Japanese Anagama pots and the Oxford Anagama Project started by potters Jim Keeling and Isezaki Jun in collaboration with the University of Oxford. Topics include unique style of the pots due to type of wood fuel and clay used in its making; challenges in making pots such as reproduction of kiln design, the need for accurate firing temperature and the project using willow-framed kiln called dragon kiln.
