- Abstract
The article assesses the impact of public health measures on rates of suicide in British Columbia during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models were used to analyze suicide deaths, controlling for monthly population and seasonal variation. It shows that the number of suicide deaths during the first wave of the pandemic did not deviate from projected expectations.
