- Title
Decoup+: butt to butt web splicing.
- Abstract
This article reports on the Splicing+ benches used for nonwoven web splicing developed by the French company Decoup+ which will be exhibited at the Index 05 nonwoven exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland. The web splicing operation is performed in two steps. The first operation is an ultrasonic cutting action, which splices the two layers together. The second step is an ultrasonic lamination, which enables the splicing lines to recover exactly the same characteristics as those of the web. Designed to be integrated onto existing lines, the Splicing+ benches are very compact modules. The equipment is available either for narrow webs as a module to be fitted on a machine or for wide webs as a splicing bench to be fitted on line.
