- Abstract
The article focuses on the lean accounting game, an initiative by the authors who are taking master of business administration (MBA) degree at Western Washington University. It notes that the game which involves basic paper airplanes was initiated in lieu to the class teachings of lean accounting and was inspired from the Beer Distribution Game. It mentions that the Airplane Game can easily and inexpensively be introduced in classrooms and organizations. It states that the game focuses on the impact of accounting metrics on the behaviors of the class participants. The design experiments of the game is also discussed wherein each participant is assigned with different tasks.
