- Abstract
The paper presents a dynamic analysis of a selected passenger car belt transmission that transfers power through pulleys from engine crankshaft to alternator and coolant pump shafts. A discrete belt model consisting of rigid elements connected with spring-damper elements was proposed. Friction between the belt and the pulleys was considered using its advanced GMS model that allows for including contact deformability. The paper presents results of two example simulations in which two values of the engine crankshaft angular velocity were taken into account.
