ALTERAÇÕES EMOCIONAIS PRESENTES NOS PACIENTES QUE REALIZARAM REVASCULARIZAÇÃO DO MIOCÁRDIO.

- Abstract
Objective: to raise the socio-demographic characteristics of patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Method: this is a quantitative descriptive study, performed with 38 patients in the cardiology unit of a referral hospital in Fortaleza-CE, Brazil. Data collection was carried through by means of an individual interview, whose resulted had been organized and presented in picture and tables. The study it was approved by the Committee of Ethics and Research of the University of Fortaleza (323/06). Results: the predominant characteristics had been: age enters the 55 and 65 years (47,3%); male (68%); married (65,7%); not white (53,0%); presence of hereditary factors (71,0%); low escolaridade (57,8%). Predominant the emotional alterations had been: fear, misfortune, estresse, solitude and pain. The main factor that intervenes for emotional alterations was the partner-economic aspect. Conclusion: the main emotional alterations of negative matrix (fear, anxiety, misfortune, among others) are more gifts in the period up to one year of surgery; soon after it has predominance of positive alterations (happiness and tranquillity). The socio-demographic characteristics and psychological of the patients submitted to the surgery of RM can be a promotional strategy of health, for which the communication must be valued nurse-patient.
