- Abstract
The purpose of this research are (1) This study aims to determine the pineapple marketing channel in the research area. (2) to find out the farmer share marketing level of pineapple in the research area. (3) To determine the level of marketing efficiency of pineapples in the research area. This research was conducted in Pasar Tiga Village, Panai Tengah District, Labuhan Batu Regency. The conclusions of this study. 1) The marketing channel in the research area consists of three marketing channels, the first marketing channel is from farmers directly to final consumers, the second marketing channel is from farmers to retailers, and retailers to final consumers. The three marketing channels are from farmer to collector then from collector to retailer then from retailer to final consumer. 2) Marketing costs consist of transportation costs, labor, packing, and depreciation costs for collectors. 3) The share margin obtained in channel I is 75.47% with a marketing cost of Rp. 10.25/pc. The share margin obtained on channel II is 40.27% with a marketing cost of Rp. 1,300/pc. The share margin obtained on channel III is 41.04% with a marketing cost of Rp. 1,300 / fruit. 4) Marketing efficiency on channel I is 0.5% <33% Marketing efficiency on channel II is 12.2% <33%, marketing efficiency on channel III is 7.8% <33%.
