- Title
On connecting behavioral responses to HIREC to ecological outcomes: a comment on Wong and Candolin.
- Authors
Sih, Andrew; Ehlman, Sean; Halpin, Rebecca
- Abstract
The authors comment on B. B. M. Wong and U. Candolin's review of the evolution and ecology of behavioral responses to human-induced rapid environmental change (HIREC). They said that an explicit set of theory on behavioral responses to change should produce predictions on conditions when organisms are expected to respond well or not to HIREC. They also discusses the tendency of many behavioral ecologists to study what they are familiar with.
