- Abstract
The article identifies some of the trends related to copyright policy expansion that emerged in the U.S. According to the author, copyright owners are always eager to expand the scope of their exclusive rights in order to encompass all valuable uses of their works. One trend that emerged is the repeal of the first sale doctrine. The author explains that the objective of the doctrine is to permit the purchaser of a copy of a copyrighted work to use the copy without the owner's permission.
