- Abstract
Introduction: Daphne mucronata has anti-oxidant and anti -inflammatory properties and it can have a quick effect on the recovery of the skin wound and bruises. The purpose of this research was to study the effects of Daphne mucronata on the cure of rat skin. Methods: This study included 45 male rats, which were treated in four different random methanol essences groups and a control group. They were treated for twenty two days. A circular cut was produced in the neck of the rats. The samples on the third, seventh, fourteenth and twenty second days after treatment were collected for microscopic analysis. The data were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and freedman by the SPSS software. Results: From a macroscopic point of view and based on the measurement of the surface of the scratches and wounds in the groups under study, the healing trend of the scratches and wounds was increased considerably, so that in the fourteenth day of the treatment, a full recovery of the wounds was obtained, and on the twenty second day, the cuts and bruises were fully cared. The results of this study also showed that on the fourteenth and twenty two days, there was a significant difference between the control and treatment groups (P<0.05). Histopathologic results showed that treatment with Daphne mucronata can recover wound in the comparison with control considerably. Conclusion: The results of this research showed that the methanol essential made from the flower, stem and leaves of daphne mucronata is effective in the recovery of the skin wound and speed of the process of healing the skin bruises.
