- Abstract
Introduction: Sucralose is a sweetener, frequently used in food and pharmaceutical industries as a taste corrector, but, being a chloroorganic compound, it isn't environmentally safe, reason why the development of a system with sucralose removal from wastewater is really actual. Methodology: The system with electrochemical sucralose conversion into desoxygalactosaccharoses by means of electrochemical process, assisted by vanadium (II) hydroxide has been theoretically evaluated. The correspondent mathematical model has been developed and analyzed by means of linear stability theory and bifurcation analysis Results: The presence of vanadium (II) hydroxide has catalytic effect for the sucralose degradation. The stable steadystate is easy to obtain and maintain, providing a rapid sucralose transformation to more "green" products. As for the oscillatory behavior, it will be less probable than in the case of the direct dechlorination. Conclusion: Vanadium hydroxide may be used efficiently for the cathodic sucralose elimination with its conversion to desoxygalactosaccharoses.
