- Abstract
This article explores the potential of retatrutide as a treatment for type 2 diabetes and obesity. Retatrutide is a triple agonist that activates three receptors involved in glucose metabolism. It has shown promising results in obesity treatment, with greater weight loss compared to other medications. Phase 2 trials have also demonstrated significant improvements in glycemic control and weight reduction in individuals with type 2 diabetes. The article provides structural insights into the interactions between retatrutide and the receptors, which could inform further development and clinical trials.
