- Abstract
The article discusses the author's reflections on the study of Baptist history for the Baptist History and Heritage Society. He describes researching issues related to 17th century Baptists and their influence on contemporary Baptists, his relationship with Baptists scholar Charles Deweese and his role in the Baptist History and Heritage Society, and the appointment of Walter B. (Buddy) Shurden to the position of executive director of the Baptist History and Heritage Society. Other subjects under discussion include the study of women in Baptist history, the effect of the global financial crisis on the society, and the role of volunteer work in the society.
