The article features Baptist pastor William Wallace Finlator. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wake Forest College in North Carolina in 1934 and a Master of Theology degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 1937. Finlator is also involved in writing articles and editorials on topics such as race, Baptist denominational issues and civil liberties. It cites several issues that Finlator addressed in his resolutions at Baptist meetings including the call on Baptist colleges to end racism in their campuses.
