- Abstract
This paper aims to point out what is recognized as some initial paths of the feminist criminology in Brazil. In establishing this path, the following question is posed: What is the pathway for the construction of the feminist criminology under development in Brazil and its possible relations with the punitive power? Some preliminary considerations from the investigated contributions that cross the so-called feminist criminology in Brazil may point in the direction that such debates, with regard to gender and violence against women, still remain very connected with those developed in the early 1990s, namely, taken by the reading of women's human rights and by the positive and negative use of criminal justice and access to justice - as paradigms of analysis on feminist contributions - still very restricted to issues of domestic violence.
