- Abstract
The article outlines some challenges of being in a romantic relationship with patient with anorexia nervosa (AN). According to researchers from the University of North Carolina that the partners of patient with AN experienced the least distress when their attempts to get the patient to change harmful behaviors fit well with the patient's perception of the negative consequences of the illness and her motivation to change the behaviors.
