- Abstract
The article offers information on the adoption of nuclear disarmament education program and the implementation of the weapons of mass destruction-free zone among the countries in the Middle East region. It mentions the efforts of international community's institutions in implementing the nuclear weapon-free zone in the said region during the United nations General Assembly and the UN Security Council (UNSC). It highlights the implementation of the worldwide Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. However, Mohammad El-Baradei International Atomic Energy Agency's director-general states his predicaments regarding the non-progression of the said treaty in the Middle East region. Furthermore, the move of the U.S. government in aiding the region for nuclear arms control is also highlighted.
