- Abstract
The article presents the author's view on the challenges of addressing complex forest management issues among land reservations of the Mescalero Apache Nation and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service in New Mexico. The author mentions the complexity in handling protection of tribal and federally managed lands due to resource-driven concerns, different strategies and approaches. He also notes the importance of preserving tribal lands.
