- Authors
Kimberlin, David W.; Stagno, Sergio
- Abstract
The authors offer insights on two separate studies featured within the issue which investigated the possibility of in utero transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) from pregnant women with coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Topics discussed include the immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody values of infants studied, the immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody values which may suggest in utero transmission, and a comparison between IgM tests and molecular diagnostic tests.
