- Abstract
The article discusses the works of Silas Owens, one of the most accomplished craftsmen in Faulkner County, Arkansas. Owens put his love for his work into the exterior appearance which makes the structures unique and of high quality. Due to his superior mixed masonry architecture, the structures have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is hoped that his contribution to the rural built environment of central Arkansas will be recognized as more than just rock buildings.
