- Abstract
The article describes a case of contralateral pneumothorax following cardiac pacemaker implantation in a 73-year-old man with paroxysmal second-degree atrioventricular block. The patient experienced specific pain in the upper abdominal region and late strong, intermittent, stabbing pain in the lower chest a day after the operation. One of the probable causes of contralateral pneumothorax in the patient is pleura injury during the Seldinger set introduction.
