The author reflects his views on sustenance of a small isolated pacific state such as New Zealand in globalizing economy. Topics discussed include the difficulties experienced by New Zealand as a prosperous nation in order to continue with the growing trade, tourism on one side along with the safekeeping of its people. Other factors are maintaining global peace, international political relations and national security that need to be fulfilled along with the growing development.
