An important stage in risk analysis by failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) is considered: planning. All the basic steps in planning risk analysis are considered, including general principles of FMEA planning for a specific project, selection of the objects for analysis, establishment of goals and limits of analysis, creation of an expert team, information collection, resource planning, and organizational preparations for the team's work.
