- Authors
Bender, Mike
- Abstract
The article focuses on an initiative taken by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to protect the endangered fish species Rio Grande silvery minnow. As stated, the service is planning to release an approximate of more than 430,000 hatchery raised fish in the Big Bend region of Texas for the next four years to increase the number of Rio Grande. It further states that the service is also planning to increase the number by decreasing invasive vegetation in the rivers as the fish likes sandy bottoms.
