The article presents the discussion on evolution of the breach of confidence as a legal instrument for redressing harms. Topics include attempts for extending the breach of confidence receiving the uneven endorsement from Canadian judges; compromising the security, confidentiality, or integrity of personal information maintained by a data collector; and launching by nationstates, hackers, terrorist groups, thrill-seekers, or rogue employees.
