COLUMBUS LAYS PLANS FOR CONVENTION CENTER HOTEL.
- Abstract
The article reports on the development plans for a 500-room hotel located near the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio. It notes that the financing plans for the development are being created by the city of Columbus and Franklin County, as well as the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority. Finance for the hotel will come from bed tax revenue, parking revenue and some of the rent revenue of the convention center. The project is estimated to cost $160 million and is set to open in 2013.
