- Abstract
What meaning do the migration and displacement acquire in our narrative fiction? How are they represented? Here, we analyze the impact that the reality from which the texts come has on them: on one side, the effect that has at the cartographic and sociocultural levels of Colombia and is presented in the literary representations; on the other hand, highlight the interest that the subject has gained among writers in different moments and using different narrative strategies. We confirm that the relations between reality and fiction are undeniable, and that the rhetoric of exile and displacement has happened not only in our daily life but in our literature. This is seen as a literary issue since the end of XIX century until now: First, with the narratives of displacement arising form the One thousand days War; then, with the ones arising from the bipartisan violence of the middle of the century; later, with the narratives related with the exile and the migration caused by the contemporary armed conflict and other violences. These narratives are in contrast with those texts produced from the middle ofxx century that talk about the migration to our country, migrations caused by race, culture and linguistic violence in those territories like Europe, Africa and Middle East.
