- Abstract
The article discusses several court cases based on admiralty and maritime law and decisions issued by U.S. federal and state courts in these cases between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013. Court cases discussed include United States v. Deffenbaugh based on a false distress call to be communicated to the U.S. Coast Guard, South Florida Water Management District v. Miccosukee Tribe of the U.S Supreme Court based on under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and Miles v. Apex Marine Corp.
