- Abstract
The article explores the conflict over an agreement between Mexico and the U.S. on sharing of water that flows into the Rio Grande, which forms the international boundary between the two countries. Issues of concern for both countries include water quality, environmental preservation, an increase in residential water use and the emergence of a natural gas fracking industry in the region. It discusses water treaties on water sharing between the two countries.
