- Abstract
Three cases of ruptured intracranial mycotic aneurysms in bacterial endocarditis are reported. The distal situation of these aneurysms is stressed; the finding of a distal aneurysm, especially in the middle or posterior cerebral vessels, should initiate a search for other signs of bacterial endocarditis. The frequent absence of neurologic signs before rupture of mycotic intracranial aneuiysms is empbasized. A brief historical review of neurologic features of bacterial endocarditis is offered.
