In this article, the author presents his views on issues related to digital privacy and its rules and regulation. He mentions that government needs to maintain the balance between the counter terrorism data surveillance and the extent of civil liberties and privacy. He also mentions that privacy is an instrumental value and the main factor that should be considered in any dataveillance program is its purpose, efficacy and scope.
