- Abstract
The article discusses a cognitive approach to the application of the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment in public school classrooms in America, focusing on education-related speech rights and laws, teachers' constitutional rights inside American schools, and several U.S. Supreme Court cases such as Garcetti v. Ceballos and Pickering v. Board of Education of Township High School which deal with public employees' speech rights. The legal aspects of the dismissal of an employee are examined.
