- Title
Patients still at risk from incorrect use of oral methotrexate.
- Abstract
The article reports on guidance reissued to the National Health Service (NHS) in England and Wales to reinforce guidelines for reducing the risk of patient harm associated with the incorrect use of oral methotrexate by the British National Patient Safety Agency. Oral methotrexate is said to be an effective medication, but some problems arise that can cause serious harm and even death. The revised guideline urges health organizations to inform the patients properly about the benefits of the drug.
