- Abstract
The article discusses the evaluation and diagnosis of gynecologic pelvic masses in women. It focuses on the most common pelvic masses, benign and malignant, and describes their evaluation using physical examinations, ultrasonography and other diagnostic tools. It notes the importance of 2 key factors, patient age and menopause status. Thorough knowledge of the probable differential diagnosis and recognizing the need for urgent intervention, referral, or conservative management are emphasized.
