- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and informs what HRT is, the benefits of using it and who should use it. The author states that HRT is effective for perimenopausal women who do not have contraindications for estrogen therapy. He further mentions that containdications include abnormal vaginal bleeding, thromboembolic disease, breast cancer, other estrogen sensitive cancers. On the other hand, the risk-to-benefit ratio increases after menopause.
