- Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of the school-based body mass index (BMI) measurement program, which will be sent to parents indicating the risk of obesity in school children. It mentions that the program may promote unhealthy dieting and increase their stigma against overweight. However, it was implemented in several states in the U.S. including in Arkansas, in which it aims to prompt on parents regarding the weight-related problems of their children and seek for its medical diagnosis.
