- Abstract
The article focuses on the compensation package requested by the British Columbia Teachers' Federation (BCTF) for the collective agreement with the government in British Columbia. The compensation package includes a substantial pay increase, 26 weeks of paid leave and two days of sick leave per month. According to the British Columbia Public School Employers Association, the compensation package will cost BC more than two billion dollars to taxpayers.
